Missing Animal Response ( Lost Pet Recovery Training) or “MAR” is a professional training program developed in 2005 by Kat Albrecht, a leading pioneer of the lost pet industry. MAR training breaks down the process of a pet being lost, then shows us how to understand lost pet behavior along with time-tested techniques in recovering those lost pets.

Mountain Sanz

With over 15 years of experience in training/handling dogs, Mountain got his start during his time in. service with the US Marine Corps. As part of the Improvised Explosive Detection Dog contract, where he and his squad implemented the use of single purpose black labs to clear roadside bombs in Afghanistan. Upon his exit of the Marines in 2016, he continued to pursue his passion for training by traveling around the country with the sole purpose of increasing Americas first responders capabilities with their K9 counterparts. He has conducted training for US Special Forces, Dutch MARSOF and KCT, FBI,Federal Filipino Agencies and Police, Fire and Sheriffs Departments around the country. He’s been a lecturer and guest at K9 Conferences around the country to include HITs and ATK9. He continues to pursue his passion for dogs and a life of service to give back to those that defend, protect and care for us, as he enjoys the country life in Virginia with his wife Ashley, and their 4 beautiful children.

Mind of a K9

Located in Ashland, VA, Mind of a K9 has demonstrated success managing local dog training programs, managing a doggie daycare, fostering, assisting veterinarians, raising guide dog puppies, raising and showing Miniature Australian Shepherds, as well as training dogs of all kinds. 



Their belief is that when owners understand how dogs truly think, they will learn to communicate with them in a way that makes sense to both dog and human. Once that is accomplished, the relationship between human and canine is limitless.
